Diamondbacks' Luke Weaver gets mixed results out of second spring outing

The off-speed pitches were there for Diamondbacks starter Luke Weaver against the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday afternoon.

But the fastball location wasn't where he wanted it, and the right-hander allowed three home runs in his second start of spring training, four runs on five hits total in three innings of work.

Weaver gave up home runs to the Rockies' Ryan McMahon and Trevor Story on three-ball counts. He threw 54 pitches, 33 for strikes and ditched the windup to work out of the stretch.

"Obviously the results weren't amazing, but man, I threw some really good off-speed pitches.
