After jumping out to an early 4-1 lead, the Diamondbacks offense stalled, leading to a 6-4 loss to the Texas Rangers.
Zac Gallen’s scoreless inning streak was finally broken after a mighty impressive 28 consecutive shutout innings. It was a Nathaniel Lowe single in the bottom of the first that brought it to an end.
However, Gallen still left the game in the fifth inning with a chance to secure his fifth win of the season. Unfortunately, this lead held by Arizona was quickly diminished as the Rangers offense scored five unanswered runs.
