If there were any questions about how much Diamondbacks right fielder Kole Calhoun were missed in Anaheim, where he spent the first eight years of his major-league career, those were erased a little less than six minutes into a Zoom call with reporters on Tuesday afternoon.
“Buddy, you miss your friend?”
The question did not come from a reporter or from a Los Angeles Angels spokesperson, as the Zoom ID suggested, but instead from someone in an Angels pullover and a backwards hat. Someone who looked quite a bit like Mike Trout.
“Not necessarily,” Calhoun replied, clearly smiling behind a mask.
