The Diamondbacks have yet to make official who will be their closer to start the regular season, but veteran right-hander Joakim Soria was signed to be a key late inning guy, if not the ninth-inning pitcher.
He said this week that there isn't really a true spot set for any of the Diamondbacks' relievers contending for the job, including Stefan Crichton and Tyler Clippard.
"If they choose me to close, I will do it happily," Soria said, in Spanish. "I can't worry too much about those things."
Soria, 36, said he feels fine and strong as he gets ready for the season.
