The Arizona Diamondbacks confirmed that Jeremy Hellickson would be making his return on Monday according to Steve Gilbert at mlb.com. The D-backs begin a series that evening at Chase Field against the San Diego Padres. It marks the first appearance on a Major League mound since August 17th. During his start that evening vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates, hamstring and groin issues cropped up resulting in a trip to the disabled list.
The 28-year old right-hander made one rehab start at Triple A Reno giving up three earned runs in six innings of work.
