On Saturday afternoon the Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago Cubs played their third game of the four game series. Arizona ended up winning the ball game in the top of the tenth inning, scoring twice in extras.
Todays ten inning ball game featured yet another masterclass held by both bullpens. Collectively the Diamondbacks staff surrendered just two runs, one earned, punching out seven hitters and giving up eight hits. Arizona threw a total of five arms, with Merrill Kelly doing the bulk of the work and starting todays affairs.
