A key battle in the NL West this weekend for the D-backs. They come into play three games back of the Padres, who currently hold the second wild-card spot. By Sunday night, Arizona could be effectively tied with San Diego. Or they could be six games back. More likely, it’ll be something in the middle - either two or four games back, with my preference being for the former, obviously. After the strong performance against the Dodgers, where the D-backs came just one strike away (in the opening game) from a sweep, the team has good momentum going into this series.
