So, that’s Jacques and Castellanos added to the roster, while Hughes and Walston go down. The latter’s spot is being used for an extra bullpen arm until his slot in the rotation comes up again. Dunno what we’ll do then. Tommy Henry maybe? He’s literally the only one left. Of the eight pitchers to have started games for the D-backs this year (excluding openers Hughes and Joe Mantiply), that means three are now on the IL, and this doesn’t even count Eduardo Rodriguez. Or perhaps it might be the start of the Cristian Mena era? Oh, and not listed above, because it didn’t affect the major league roster, RHP Luis Frias was reinstated from the 15-day injured list and optioned to Reno.
