- Reinstated from 10-day injured list: INF Christian Walker (strained left oblique)
- Placed on 10-day injured list: OF Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (strained left calf; retro to Sept. 2)
Well, that’s disappointing. One member of the everyday lineup returns... and another goes on the injured list. According to Torey Lovullo, he hopes Gurriel’s absence will only be for or close to the minimum, and it’s true that our outfield is one of the areas where we are better stocked generally.
