It has... been a while. The last time I did one of these for a meaningful baseball game, the D=backs were not actually involved. Because it was the delayed double-header between the Braves and the Mets, which determined our fate. The fix was in there, and it ended up going exactly as expected. Tonight’s game promises to be more entertaining, with the D-backs actually having their destiny in their own hands. Though it’ll be hard-pushed to match last year’s Opening Day. You may remember they scored fourteen runs in the third inning - the most ever by a team on Opening Day in recorded baseball history - on their way to a 16-1 blowout of the Rockies.
