No word on Monday starter, but Taijuan Walker progressing
The Diamondbacks still haven’t named a starter for Monday’s series opener in Pittsburgh, but right-hander Randall Delgado, who threw four innings in a spot start Wednesday, is a candidate to start again, manager Torey Lovullo said.
But Lovullo said the club continues to view Delgado as a reliever in the long-term.
“I know it’s been part of his past, but we like what he’s been doing out of the bullpen,” Lovullo said. “He’s been very powerful for us. We want to make sure we focus on that through this process.
