Gregor Blanco led off the game by homering on the second pitch he saw, and Chris Owings added a solo homer of his own in the second inning, allowing the Diamondbacks to jump to a quick 2-0 lead.
Blanco hammered an 0-1 pitch from Brewers right-hander Zach Davies, driving it out to left-center field. It was his fourth career leadoff homer and his 22nd career home run.
Owings’ shot also went to the opposite field, coming on a 2-1 fastball from Davies to lead off the second. Owings has six home runs, tying his career high.
