Diamondbacks finish off Reds Wednesday after rain, snow delays

The Diamondbacks were not able to tack on, but they were able to hold on to a win on Wednesday afternoon, coming away with a 5-4 victory over the Cincinnati Reds in the conclusion of a game that was suspended due to rain and snow the night before and restarted a half-hour late due to more snowfall.

Things picked up where they left off when a torrential downpour forced the teams off the field at Great American Ball Park: bases loaded, one out, eighth inning. It was another golden opportunity for the Diamondbacks’ offense, but much like it had earlier in the game, it was unable to take full advantage.
