The Diamondbacks’ offense fell flat with runners in scoring position in their Tuesday night matchup against the Miami Marlins. As a result, they felt short with a final score of 6-2.
Brandon Pfaadt, in his second career start, threw five innings, allowing six earned runs on seven hits. Pfaadt has not made it past the fifth inning in either of his starts, nor has he exited with a lead.
Jorge Soler took advantage of Pfaadt’s lack of experience, welcoming the rookie into the major leagues with a couple of bombs, one of which was launched 468 feet.
