When Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo enters the interview room for his post-game press conference, win or lose, he does so with a prepared statement.
That was not the case on Thursday.
“Usually I’m walking in and thinking about my opening remarks and the statements I want to make,” Lovullo said as he sat down. “I really don’t know what to say about this game. Sometimes things happen on a baseball field that leave you scratching your head.”
The Diamondbacks managed just three hits and four baserunners in a lopsided, 7-0 affair on Thursday at Chase Field.
