David Peralta went into last offseason armed with information and eager to apply it. Told that too many of his hard-hit balls were ending up on the ground rather than in the air, Peralta decided to make a change. He couldn’t have asked for better and more immediate results.
With two more home runs in Thursday night’s 6-3 win over the New York Mets, Peralta has 14 on the season, matching his home run total from last season in fewer than half as many at-bats. He believes the swing changes he implemented are directly responsible for this.
“It’s working really good right now,” Peralta said.
