Make it an even dozen consecutive losses for the Arizona Diamondbacks, who fell 8-6 to the St. Louis Cardinals Friday night at Chase Field.
The Diamondbacks' losing streak reached 12, with the Cardinals striking for four runs in the first inning against Arizona starter Madison Bumgarner.
A Tyler O'Neill two-run home run, his second homer in as many nights, was the big blow in the first inning, as it came with two outs and two runs already in. Nolan Arenado also homered off Bumgarner, who lost his third straight start after giving up six earned runs on five hits in four innings.
