Now that the 2015 World Series is over, teams can move on to preparing for the 2016 season. Several teams already have announced that they'll be picking up or declining contract options on their players, and the Diamondbacks are expected to do the same for relievers Brad Ziegler and Josh Collmenter in the next couple days.
Ziegler has a $5.5 million option for next season, although the club would have to pay him $1 million if they declined it. Collmenter has a $1.825 million option. Both are expected to be picked up, and the team has five days after the World Series to decide.
