ENVER – Almost a year ago to the day, in a deathly quiet visitors’ clubhouse in Oakland, Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta spoke of ripping the month of May off the calendar, lighting it on fire and tossing it in a dumpster. Peralta was not with the Diamondbacks at Coors Field this week, but if he were he might have suggested doing the same this year.
The Diamondbacks completed a miserable series here on Thursday afternoon with an 11-10, 10-inning loss to the Colorado Rockies, who completed a four-game sweep. The loss brought an end to a 3-7 road trip.
