It’s a story of what could have been for Christian Walker. Sure, his late career is going about as well as you could ask, considering he didn’t get his first real every day starting opportunity until he was 28 years old post-Paul Goldschmidt. But I think if you asked him, he’ll always wonder what his career could have been if he had an opportunity earlier in his career. The story is beaten to death, but he came up in the Orioles system behind Chris Davis and was plucked on waivers to teams with stars like Freddie Freeman, Joey Votto, and finally Paul Goldschmidt.
