Home runs by Jordan Lawlar and Corbin Carroll during a second inning where the D-backs sent eleven men to the plate, were easily enough offense to give Arizona a win over a split-squad Milwaukee. Lawlar had a two-run bomb, and after the bases had been loaded later in the frame, driving the Brewers’ starter from the game, Carroll greeted his replacement with a first-pitch grand-slam (below). Corbin also had two SB including a beautifully executed double-steal with Pavin Smith in the fourth to score the Diamondbacks’ seventh and final run. All told, Arizona were credited with five SB, as they pushed the pedal.
