They had a parlayed a combination of truly terrible situational hitting, another relief meltdown and deeply crappy umpiring, taking a game which should have been well in hand, and going to the bottom of the ninth facing defeat. But three free base-runners and Kevin Newman’s fourth hit of the game turned a one-run deficit into and walk-off win, made all the home fans at Chase Field into 24 Hour Party People. Clap Your Hands and sing Hallelujah, this was a game full of Pills, Thrills and Bellyaches.
