The D-backs still find themselves looking for their first win of 2025, and this was probably the ugliest one yet. Only four runs scored in garbage time by the D-backs made the final score look somewhat respectable/ Neither the pitching nor the hitting were up to much, and through three games, Arizona have now been outscored by sixteen runs, the staff having conceded a total of 32 runs through 25 innings of work. Of course, we have hardly seen anyone on the mound with more than a slight chance of making the Opening Day roster. But if this is any guide (and it may well not be), then the team may struggle with pitching depth.
