This game wound up going longer than I might have expected, and I have a couple of errands to run before it gets too late in the afternoon, so I’m just throwing up a brief placeholder recap, which I expect I’ll expand a bit later, assuming I can bring myself to return to the scene of this afternoon’s crime.
Anyway.
Eduardo Rodriguez, our other $20M+ offseason lefty starter acquisition, had the start for us today, and while he kinda walked a tightrope the first three innings, he was effective and efficient, only allowing one run and needing only 43 pitches through those first three innings.
