I watched both this Zac Gallen start, and his last one in Colorado, and I'm kinda confused. Neither saw what I would call a classically "dominant" pitching performance from Gallen. Both games felt like he had to work hard to get through at least some innings. But over the two outings, he struck out 17 batters in 11 innings, allowing three earned runs. Those are Cy Young caliber numbers. I guess I should take comfort from the fact that Gallen is now 3-0 with a 1.64 ERA, despite it feeling like he hasn't unleashed 100% of his ability yet.
