Chase Anderson pitched well, but not well enough, and even hit - but not enough there either to get his first win.
Anderson wobbled initially, giving up singles on the first two pitches he threw, and allowing a sacrifice fly to give the Padres the first run of the game, as they made their first out. However, he didn't let that distract him, and settled down to deliver another excellent outing, holding the San Diego offense to just that one run in seven innings - I'm a little surprised he didn't go deeper, considering tomorrow's scheduled "bullpen" game, and that Anderson had thrown only 92 pitches to that point.
