After three defeats, which should largely go down to inexperienced pitching, Zac Gallen showed up, and proved to be the “stopper”. Ok, admittedly he only tossed one inning, and allowed a run on a two-out solo homer. But it was the start of a decent outing by most of the D-backs’ staff, holding the Guardians to four hits. In particular, the back end of the bullpen tossed four consecutive hitless inning. This was polished off by Conor Grammes getting two K’s around a walk and a hit batter in the ninth,to notch the first save of 2025 by a Diamondback.
Diamondbacks 4, Guardians 3: Victory!
