Robbie Ray looked very dominant in stretches, but still ended up with the loss and an increased ERA.
Arizona took the lead in the first inning once again, as Yasmany Tomas knocked a two-run ground-rule double. After some early trouble, Robbie Ray settled down, fanning five consecutive Brewers batters to end the first and blow through the second. However, Milwaukee did tie the game up on a two-run homer with two outs in the third. Ray settled back down, and struck out the side again in the fifth, to give him 10 strikeouts through five innings. He came within one out of getting through the sixth, but an RBI single gave Milwaukee the lead, and Enrique Burgos didn't help, allowing both runners he inherited to score.
