Diamondbacks 3, Reds 3: Fit to be tied

Brandon Pfaadt made his first appearance of spring, and had a good outing down in Goodyear against Cincinnati. He worked two scoreless innings, allowing one hit and no walks, with a pair of strikeouts. Ryan Thompson followed with a clean third, and it was a B-bullpen day, but they initially did their job, keeping the Reds off the board until the eighth. Kyle Backhus, however, did not, retiring one of six batters faced - though wasn’t helped by three straight infield singles! The three runs allowed let the Reds tie the game and that was where things subsequently finished, the teams agreeing not to play a tenth frame.
