Both teams were quiet in the first. The only player to get on base was Paul Goldschmidt with a two out single in the top of the first off of Madison Bumgarner. It was a different story in the top of the second. Ketel Marte lead off the inning with his tenth double of the season. Chris Owings immediately followed that up with his eighth double, bringing Marte home. Next up, Deven Marrero popped out to first, but Owings was able to move to third, and then be brought home on the next at bat thanks to a single off the bat of Kristopher Negron.
