Chase Anderson was great through his first 4 innings, keeping the Angels at bay while the D-backs scored a couple to get a quick lead. But the 5th and 6th innings were shaky, with Anderson giving up hard hit balls but getting out of it generally unscathed with just 2 runs allowed. He went 6 innings, giving up 7 hits and just the 2 runs allowed.
After that the bullpen did its job, albeit scarily. David Hernandez got into trouble in the 7th, allowing 2 runners to reach before getting the 1st out of the inning, but Oliver Perez and Daniel Hudson worked out of the jam and keep the Angels at bay.
