Zack Godley’s control was questionable tonight, at least relative to his first two starts, but thanks to that utterly filthy curveball (and also thanks to some equal-opportunity bad home plate umpiring by Kerwin Danley), he made it through seven scoreless, and the two runs we scored in the first thanks to a Marte single, a Goldschmidt triple that felt to me like the first truly Goldy-like hit of the season, and an AJ Pollock sac fly were sufficient to get us into the win column for the 8th time the season. Also: Archie Bradley got his first save opportunity (and first save, natch) of the young season.
