Eduardo Escobar opened the scoring with home-run #13 in the third, a solo shot. After the Rockies took the lead in the fourth, scoring twice off Merrill Kelly, Escobar tied things up with a single in the fifth. With a taxed bullpen, Torey Lovullo tried to get Kelly through seven innings, and almost managed it. But with two outs, former Diamondback Chris Iannetta snuck a two-run homer over the fence, giving the Rockies the lead for good. That was the last batter Kelly faced. He went 6.2 innings, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk with five strikeouts.
