Tonight promised to be a pitcher’s duel from the start, with one of the Dodger’s co-aces going up against our ace. It delivered, with both Zack Greinke and Alex Wood trading zeros for most of the game. You couldn’t really ask for a whole lot more, other than the Dbacks scratching a couple more wins across the plate.
The Dodgers did strike first, in the second inning. Cody Bellinger lead off the inning with a solo home run to break the tie. Greinke responded in a big way, however, facing and then striking out Yasmany Grandal, Chase Utley, and Joc Pederson to end the inning.
