It is some comfort that Bradin Hagens and Anthony Vasquez are most unlikely to come within sniffing distance of a ninth-inning lead for the Diamondbacks this year. The odds of such a happening were already kinda slim, but have likely shrunk to microscopic levels, after the pair combined to allow six runs while retiring one batter in the ninth inning. That unimpressive performance climaxed in Vasquez serving up a walk-off grand-slam from former D-back Kyle Jensen - if you’d forgotten (and I wouldn’t blame you), he got 31 plate-appearances for the 2016 incarnation of the Diamondbacks.
