I have to admit, this was a deeply silly baseball game. It was possibly even a stupid baseball game. But the Diamondbacks won, and so I am enormously happy. It’s also 11pm and I’m just getting started on writing this recap, so there you are.
The evening began with a 51-minute rain delay, which is always a joy. DC noted in the gameday thread, though, that there was an ongoing police chase taking place on TV in Southern California (where else?), so that kept me entertained while the whole weather thing was happening. It was actually the first one of those I’ve ever watched, and it was weirdly fascinating and transfixing.
