The offense enjoyed themselves at Salt River Fields this afternoon, knocking out sixteen hits to reach double digits in runs for the first time. Every starter had at least one hit - quite impressive, considering none of them played a full game. Jake McCarthy, Josh Naylor, Randal Grichuk and Geraldo Perdomo all had two hits, while Eugenio Suarez had a hit and a walk. There was power in display too. Half the hits were for extra bases, including home-runs by Grichuk and Kristian Robinson, both getting their first long ball of spring.
The pitching was more than able to make it stand up.
