Not a lot to talk about with this one, sadly. Zac Gallen gave up four runs in the first two innings, throwing 47 pitches. Gaby Moreno was sorely missed, as the Tampa Bay Rays pulled off two successful double steals—one of second and third, the other of second and home (!). Our offense was facing Jeffrey Springs: a guy who was making his fifth start after returning from Tommy John surgery, a guy whose fastball maxes out at something like 92mph. a guy who entered the game with an ERA well over 4.00, and were thoroughly owned by him.
