Not a whole lot to say about this one but that it went the way that an awful lot of our games have gone so far in this young season, at least since the starting rotation has gotten fully stretched out. Zach Davies, who in his four previous starts hadn’t pitched further into a game than five innings, took the mound against the Colorado Rockies this evening, facing off against Colorado lefty Kyle Freeland, who had managed to pitch 51⁄3 innings in his second start but otherwise has had a broadly similar start to his 2022 season.
