Brandon Pfaadt has been everything the team needed him to be this year. With multiple injuries throughout veterans, Pfaadt has done nothing but pitch every fifth day and gave them quality starts. Unfortunately, that doesn’t translate to wins, as he can’t hit. Among 130 qualified pitchers, his 3.8 runs while he actively pitches ranks 81st, showing us why he entered today at 3-6. Despite the Braves poor performance early this year, they’re still an intimidating lineup capable of scoring 10+ any time they go out.
But Brandon Pfaadt was up to the task. He was excellent all night, and didn’t allow a hit until the 4th when Austin Riley singled to left.
