In Goodyear, Arizona were beaten 4-0 by Cleveland. However, three of the four runs were charged to Gerardo Gutierrez, as he tried to mop up in the third after Ryne Nelson left. Our starter went 2.1 innings, allowing a run on three hits, with no walks and three K's. Cristian Mena and Christian Montes de Oca combined for six strikeouts over 3.2 scoreless innings. Not much offense to speak of here, obviously: a total of five hits and three walks with a whopping 15 K's. Jake McCarthy had a hit and a walk, and Trey Mancini the only XBH for Arizona, a double, but also whiffed three times.
