CEO Derrick Hall defended the Diamondbacks’ recent actions during a question-and-answer session at the SABR Analytics conference on Friday morning.
Speaking in a conference room at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Phoenix, Hall was asked by moderator and FOX Sports reporter Ken Rosenthal about the perception that the Diamondbacks don’t value their prospects the same way as other organizations, with the trades of shortstop Dansby Swanson, pitchers Aaron Blair and Touki Toussaint and infielder Isan Diaz cited as examples.
“It certainly is the appearance, the perception,” Hall said, “but I don’t think so.
