Coming off a series win against the Pittsburgh Pirates that was just short of a series sweep, the Diamondbacks welcomed the Washington Nationals to the desert and the sweaty confines of Chase Field as the Snakes looked to gain some more ground in not only the NL Wild Card race, but the NL West divisional race as well.
Game 1 was off to about as rough of a start as you could expect, as the Nationals put up 5 on Monty, with 3 coming at the hands of an Alex Call Home Run to left field.
