Reno's Jamie Romak is on a hitting tear and clubbed another home run last night giving him 5 in the last 6 games and 16 on the season. Originally a 4th round pick by Atlanta in 2003 out of high school Romak has fought his way up the minor league ladder, often playing well but never well enough to be considered a strong major league prospect. He did get his cup of coffee last year with the Dodgers where he did poorly with a handful of pinch hit opportunities. But he does have positional versatility being able to play first, second, third and the outfield, so one would think he might be useful as a bench bat.
