After a disappointing series loss at the hands of the New York Mets, the Diamondbacks would welcome their divisional foe, and NL West leading Los Angeles Dodgers for a 4 game series that could very well decide which of these teams comes out at the top of the division once the regular season comes to an end. A series win or even a sweep would have been the most ideal outcome to get the Snakes better setup for the September stretch, but getting swept by the Dodgers would be basically the death blow in the teams chances in winning the NL West for the first time since 2011.
