This was a game that was a hard fought, close game for seven innings. And then, it wasn't!
Both teams got things started offensively in the first. Matt Garza took the mound for the Brewers in the top of the first. He sat down Michael Bourne and Phil Gosselin for the first two outs. That brought Jean Segura to the plate, who broke up the perfect game by hitting a double to center field. Goldschmidt broke up the shut out by bringing him home thanks to a single. While Wellington Castillo was batting, Goldy stole second, which proved fortunate, since he then was scored thanks to a ground rule double.
