Former Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Daniel Hudson agreed to a two-year contract worth $11 million with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday.
Hudson took to Twitter to express his appreciation to the Diamondbacks for sticking with him "through some really tough times."
The reliever, 29, underwent reconstructive elbow surgery on his right (throwing) elbow in 2012 and 2013.
Hudson wrote: "Just want to thank the Diamondback organization for the last six years. I couldn't have asked for a better place to begin my career.
"I owe every pitch, out, inning, game and season from here on out to Ken (Kendrick), Derrick (Hall) and everyone else there.
