WASHINGTON – Lingering concussion symptoms continue to delay the return of No. 1 overall pick Dansby Swanson, who was hit in the face by a pitch during a simulated game two weeks ago.
“Every now and then he’ll have a little spell where he doesn’t feel quite right,” Diamondbacks farm director Mike Bell said. “So that slows it down a little bit. I think we’re almost there, but we’re waiting for that one day where he’s completely symptom-free.”

In his first at-bat of his first game action as a member of the Diamondbacks organization, Swanson was hit with a fastball thrown by fellow prospect Yoan Lopez.
