D-Backs stick with college picks on 2nd day

The Arizona Diamondbacks selected eight players in Rounds 3-10 of Major League Baseball's First-Year Player Draft on Tuesday, and the team continued its trend of selecting players from the collegiate ranks.

Five of Tuesday's selections were right-handed pitchers, including Arizona State closer Ryan Burr, who was picked in the fifth round.

On Monday, the Diamondbacks selected Vanderbilt University shortstop Dansby Swanson with the first-overall pick in the draft, along with Texas Christian University left-handed pitcher Alex Young in the second round (43rd overall).
