PHOENIX -- The D-backs lacked energy early on Monday night, but one situation woke them up and eventually led to a 9-5 comeback victory over the Pirates at Chase Field.
Braden Shipley, who replaced Patrick Corbin, hit Josh Harrison with a pitch in the top half of the seventh. When Chris Owings strolled into the batter's box to lead off the bottom half, Pirates starter Joe Musgrove drilled him -- perhaps in retaliation.
It started a rally.
Owings advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored on Nick Ahmed's RBI single.
